Vintage

Maryland, about 1965-- Doesn't the hat say it all?
vin⋅tage: 1- Characterized by excellence, maturity, and enduring appeal; classic.
2-Old or outmoded.

Easter about 1970 Albuquerque, NM - house on "Propps" Do you remember those yarn ribbons we wore in our hair? I had like every color!
Lookin good! Maryland 1966 Dig those overalls! I remember my mom and grandmom sitting in chairs with the hair dryer on their heads drying their hair.

This is the EXACT tricycle I had as a little girl!

Recently I was shopping in a very fun store, maybe you know it. It's called "Anthropologie". While I was shopping I came upon some really cute aprons and dishes. I found that as I looked at these dishes, my mind went back to when I was a little girl and the times I spent visiting my Grandma Shetrone's home. Some of the kitchen towels in the store reminded me of when I was a little girl and we lived in the house that we refer to as "Propps" because it was on a street
named "Propps".

As I shopped I started a conversation with one of the clerks in the store. I asked her, "What does 'Vintage' actually mean?" You will never believe what she said, darling, young girl. "Oh, vintage means really old. Like 40 or 50 years old, you know."

So I thought, "Why not? I'll go with that." So, I'm going to be 45 in a about a week-I'M VINTAGE. I love it! Most of my favorite people are 'Vintage', too. So I'm in really good company!

I hope you like all my 'Vintage' photos. When I was 8 I remember skating with "Roller Skates". If I couldn't find my "key" then I couldn't skate

I remember reading this book in the first grade. I lived in Albuquerque, NM. My teacher's name was Mrs. Gonzales.

I wore black and white Oxford shoes for many years. Apparetly I had "Flat Feet" so I had to wear corrective shoes. It seemed like I had to wear them FOREVER! I really wanted "fancy" shoes! (remember the opening scene in 'Shopaholic'????-that girl is ME!)

My baby doll was a "Real Live Lucy Doll". I doubt it was manufactured in China with toxic materials.
